Chantal Fraser’s 'Maiden Prismatic Taupou #1' is an infinite silhouette of patterned layers. Rising from Chantal’s ongoing exploration of performative photography and reconstruction techniques, this work is a three dimensional photo collage featured in her solo exhibition 'Suboptimal Adornment'.
An imagined world contained in a bell jar, 'Midden', conjures a sense of a captured moment in time, past, present or future. Tiffany has created this miniaturized scene as part of her solo exhibition, 'The Albatross', influenced by Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem, 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ in which the main character is doomed to wander the earth for eternity. 'Midden' acts as a souvenir of travels to imagined places.
