Casuarina Sateen by KT Doyle.

KT Doyle

KT Doyle’s creative practice is rich in personal and spatial histories. She creates design/art artefacts that tell stories and are enriched with place and time. Doyle’s approach to conceptual process provides her practice with a multi-skilled and innovative design aesthetic.

An intuitive focus on pattern, form and precise detail inform these works. Often removing the element of colour as the emphasis point, Doyle creates a collection of artefacts that are timeless and refined. The basis for her work is conceptual, evolving the physical execution of ‘the idea’ in the most appropriate media including installation, the ready-made object, digital media and textiles. Her work is highly crafted and technique driven, the finished artefacts existing at the convergence of art and design.
