We Three Keys (1) by Alister Yiap.
Alister Yiap is fascinated with the dialogue between individuality and the wearable fashion object. His works are technically precise objects made of precious metals that are a play on the form of the ‘facet’. These limited edition objects can function as wearable jewellery pieces but also stand alone as miniature sculptural artefacts.
Facet-nate presents Yiap’s notion of identity conception through wearable objects. Through a public suggestion of fashion and styling, the individual conjures interest from others with different levels of personal identity coming through. Yiap’s work acts as visual instigators of identity, perpetuating the individual through form and artefact.
