Twig 1:15 Mini

Twig 1:15 Mini by Alexander Lotersztain.

Alexander Lotersztain

Alexander Lotersztain’s practice considers a balance between design and the user. His approach to the design process is one of continuous global research on market trends, subcultures, environment and sustainability, leading to the development of design/art artefacts that have a high level of trend awareness and innovative target product broadcasting. These artefacts are highly covetable and feature prominently on the international design landscape.

For Miniature and Multiples, Lotersztain has produced a limited edition of scale models of his iconic Twig bench. They can be functional office objects or seen as a purely sculptural form. The Twig bench was first designed in concrete in 2005 for Southbank Institute of Technology in Brisbane. It has since been recreated in various materials and has become the most popular product of Escofet in Spain. It features in various public spaces around the world including Madrid, Rome and Paris. The design has become synonymous with Lotersztain’s design aesthetic and this limited edition miniature only exemplifies the collectability of this design/art artefact.
